Meet Our Volunteer
Greg Woods is our toy box creator and resident Lego master!
He retired from the Air Force in 2009 and started volunteering at the Toy Lending Library in 2017.
Along with Anelis (our founder), he knows all of the ins and outs of our operation. He creates and repair toy boxes, prepares toy boxes for delivery to the libraries, patiently trains new volunteers in processing and cleaning toys returned from the libraries and does many of the day-to-day tasks that keep the Toy Lending Library (TLL) running.
His sense of humor and playful nature make coming to the TLL an adventure!
We love having Greg on the team and we are very THANKFUL for his support all these years!
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. In 2019, South Dakota’s version, “South Dakota Gives,” started.
This year we are asking for your support. On November 29, 2022, join us in celebrating South Dakota Gives 2022.
Ways to Celebrate South Dakota Gives with Us
Get active on Social Media. We will be sharing content throughout the day. Anytime you like, comment, or share one of our posts, our message gets out to more people. We encourage you to follow us on Facebook (See the link at the bottom of this email) and engage with our posts on November 29, 2022.
Donate your gently used toys and books (our goal is to collect 100 toys)
Volunteer. We always welcome new volunteers to join our team. To learn more about volunteering and to fill out a form visit: https://www.toylendinglibrarysd.org/volunteer
Give. Here's when you don't have toys or books to donate or can't volunteer but still think this is an AWESOME organization. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Toy Lending Library of South Dakota on November 29, 2022. https://www.toylendinglibrarysd.org/donate
Vision Sioux Falls
Forward Sioux Falls and other local partners are asking all of us to answer a survey about priorities for the next 10 years. "The goal of this plan will be to identify projects and policies that will address important needs and opportunities which ultimately will lead to a higher quality of life for all residents."
It's that time of the year, the time to think of all the amazing things that happened, but most importantly, the time to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH to all the volunteers, donors and other supporters who made them possible.
This picture is from our windown and it shows some of the amazing people that makes it all happen. There's many more that for one reason or another are not there but they are in our hearts.
Thank you very very much!
